The Workspace

A tour of the vyx app: the heatmap, controls, views, and the inspector.

The Heatmap

Each row is a market and each column is a moment in time. Color encodes the value of the active signal for that market and candle. Rows are ranked by trailing volume by default, so the most liquid markets sit on top.

Controls

  • Interval: 1m, 5m, 15m, 1h, or 4h.
  • Depth: how deep into the order book imbalance is measured, from level 1 (top of book) to level 10.
  • Search: jump straight to a symbol.
  • Pin: keep the pairs you trade at the top of the grid regardless of rank.

Three Views

  • Map: the full heatmap, for scanning the market at a glance.
  • Table: a ranked shortlist of the pairs most strongly matching the active signal right now.
  • Tape: a live feed of pairs as they newly hit the signal — freshness first.

Inspect A Pair

Click any row to open the inspector: a price chart with a crosshair synced to the heatmap cell under your cursor. Move along the row to scrub the same moment on the chart, so you can line up an order-book event with the candle it produced.
