What A Screen Is
A screen is a signal whose conditions must ALL hold. Set a signal's Combine to All and every on/off indicator in it becomes a condition: the signal fires on a market only when every condition is true. Light it on a desk and switch the board to the Screen face to see the result as a list instead of a heatmap.
Build One
- Add a signal, set Combine to All, and add one on/off indicator per condition, each named for what it means — "Overextended down", "Bullish RSI divergence".
- Or ask the AI chat: "screen for markets overextended to the downside with a bullish RSI divergence". It composes the conditions from formulas and lights the screen on your desk.
- On the Screen, + Condition opens the lit screen's editor to add another condition; clicking a condition chip edits it.
- Conditions are ordinary formulas, so anything the formula language can say is a condition: (close - sma(close, 20)) / atr(14) <= -2 is "more than two ATRs below the 20-candle average". Divergences, swing structure, crossovers and "happened recently" are built from the event functions in the Formula Reference — nothing is a fixed menu.
Reading The Screen
- Matching now: every market meeting the screen on the last closed candle, freshest first.
- Left the screen: markets that matched recently and no longer do, most recent first, dimmed.
- Matches: a strip of the last 48 candles, lit where the market matched — the same result the heatmap paints for that row.
- In for / Since: how long the current match has held (or how long ago it left), and the price move since that run of matches began.
- Condition columns show each condition's number when it is a single comparison, in cyan when it holds.
- Rows keep their place and move only when a candle closes. Click a column header to sort by it (down, up, then back); click a row to put that market on the chart.
Your Columns
- Add any formula as a column with the + at the end of the header — start from a preset (RSI, change, funding, open interest, volume, spread) or write your own, like lowest(rsi(close, 14), 20). Columns update live.
- Columns belong to the desk and follow you across devices. Up to 12 per desk. A curated desk's columns are fixed; clone it to choose your own.
- Hover a column header to remove it.
History
Switch the Screen to History for a 14-day log of every market that entered and left it — when, at what price, how long it held and how price moved over the run (to now while it still matches). The log is recorded on our servers every minute, tab open or not, for any desk with Alerts on or with Start recording pressed. A market that was already matching when recording began is marked as such rather than given a made-up entry time. The move is price, not a trade result.
Alerts
Turn on Alerts in the Screen's header to get an email and push notification when a market enters the screen. Alerts and History run on our servers, so they work with the tab closed; they need a plan that includes alerts and a desk of your own. Keep each formula's lookback within 120 candles so the server can score it.
On A Phone
The Screen is a tab on the phone too: matches first, recent exits dimmed, each row with its match strip, time in and move since. Scroll and the row under the focus marker drives the chart above.
