What Push Is

Push sends a VYX alert straight to your device — a lock-screen notification when a price alert fires, a desk produces a new match, or your AI trader has something to report — even with the tab closed. It is a fast nudge layered on top of your email alerts, not a replacement for them: every operating system is allowed to drop, delay, or silence a push, so email stays the backstop that always arrives.

• Push is per device. Turning it on for your desktop does not turn it on for your phone — enable it on each device you want notified.
• It only sends what you already asked for: your price alerts, your desk Matches subscription, and your AI trader’s notices. It never adds new noise of its own.
• A market that keeps re-firing will not spam you — repeat fires on the same market are muted for a cooldown window.

Turn It On

Open the Alerts panel beside the chart and click Push in its footer. Your browser asks for permission once — choose Allow — and the toggle reads "on". That is the whole setup on desktop Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, and on Android. iPhone and iPad need one extra step first, below.

iPhone And iPad — Add VYX To Your Home Screen First

Apple only delivers web notifications to an app you have installed, so on iOS the Push toggle cannot work from a normal Safari tab. Open vyx.app in Safari, tap the Share button, choose "Add to Home Screen", then open VYX from that new icon and turn on Push from there. Requires iOS 16.4 or later. Note that Apple does not allow web push to use Time-Sensitive or Critical delivery, so a Focus mode or notification summary can still hold a VYX push back.

Brave — Switch On Push Messaging

Brave ships with web push disabled, which is the single most common reason the toggle refuses to turn on: you click Push, nothing appears to happen, and it drops back to "off". Open brave://settings/privacy, turn on "Use Google services for push messaging", and relaunch Brave — the setting only takes effect after a restart. Then click Push in the Alerts panel again and choose Allow.

If The Toggle Says "Blocked"

Blocked means you (or the browser) previously denied notification permission for vyx.app, and only you can lift it — a site cannot re-ask once it has been refused. Clear it in the browser, then click Push again:

• Chrome, Edge, Brave: click the icon at the left of the address bar (a padlock or sliders), find Notifications, and set it to Allow. Reload the page.
• Firefox: click the padlock in the address bar, then clear the blocked Notifications permission and reload.
• Safari (macOS): Safari → Settings → Websites → Notifications, find vyx.app, and set it to Allow.

It Says "On" But Nothing Arrives

The subscription is live, so the notification is being stopped after it reaches your device. Work down this list:

• macOS: System Settings → Notifications → your browser → Allow notifications. Then check Focus / Do Not Disturb, which silences them without warning.
• Windows: Settings → System → Notifications → your browser is enabled, and Focus assist is off.
• Android: exclude your browser from battery optimization — aggressive power saving delays or drops pushes, sometimes for hours.
• iPhone: Settings → Notifications → VYX, with Allow Notifications on; and check the Focus mode you are in.
• Still nothing: turn Push off and on again in the Alerts panel to re-register the device — a subscription can be retired by the browser after a long idle period or a profile reset.

Good To Know

• Push needs a paid plan, the same tier that runs your 24/7 alerts — a free account has no server-side alerts to deliver.
• Turning Push off only unsubscribes that one device. Your alerts, desk Matches, and emails keep working untouched.
• Private or incognito windows cannot hold a push subscription — use a normal window.
• If you never want to depend on push at all, leave it off: email delivers every alert on its own.
