The intuition
Price and CVD usually rise and fall together — buyers lift price, sellers drop it. A divergence is when they split: price grinds to a new high but cumulative volume delta makes a lower high, meaning the buying behind the move is fading or being absorbed. The move is running out of the flow that should be powering it.
The two divergences
Which way the gap opens tells you which side is weakening:
- Bearish divergence — price higher high, CVD lower high. Buyers are getting absorbed; upside conviction is fading.
- Bullish divergence — price lower low, CVD higher low. Sellers are getting absorbed; downside conviction is fading.
- Strongest at a level: a divergence into a prior high/low, where big resting orders sit, is the highest-quality reversal tell.
cvdHigh >= 100000 && imb <= -20 vyx exposes the intracandle CVD swing (cvdHigh/cvdLow/cvdRange) so flow-versus-price disagreement surfaces on the board — strong aggression (cvdHigh) meeting a heavy opposite book (imb) while price stalls is the absorption that drives a divergence, ranked live across 300+ markets.
Divergences can persist — aggression can fade for several candles before price turns, or never turn at all in a strong trend. Read a CVD divergence as evidence a move is weakening, then wait for price to confirm (the reversal) before acting.

FAQ
What is a CVD divergence?
When cumulative volume delta and price disagree — for example price makes a new high but CVD makes a lower high. It signals that the aggressive flow behind the move is fading or being absorbed.
What does a bearish CVD divergence mean?
Price makes a higher high while CVD makes a lower high — buyers are being absorbed and upside conviction is weakening. It’s a reversal tell, strongest when it forms into a prior high; confirm with price before acting.
How does vyx show CVD divergence?
It tracks the intracandle CVD swing (`cvdHigh`/`cvdLow`) against price and book imbalance across 300+ markets, so the markets where strong flow isn’t moving price — the absorption behind a divergence — rise on the board.
