Order-Flow Indicators

vyx turns the core order-flow indicators into one scannable surface: order-book imbalance, OFI, CVD, sweeps, microprice, and price impact — computed live across 300+ Hyperliquid markets, and composable into a single score.

The Order-Flow Indicators, In One Place

Order-flow indicators read the mechanics of a market — the resting book and the trades hitting it — rather than lagging price averages. vyx computes the core set live and makes each one a scannable, composable variable:

Displayed Liquidity vs. Executed Flow

The indicators split into two families, and the edge is reading them together. Displayed-liquidity indicators read the order book — imbalance (which side is stacked), microprice (imbalance-weighted fair value), and OFI (the flow of additions and cancellations). Executed-flow indicators read the tape — CVD (net aggression), sweeps (one-sided taker runs), and whale prints (the largest single trades). When displayed liquidity and executed flow agree, the read is strong; when they disagree, that’s absorption.

Compose Them Into One Score

A single indicator is noisy. vyx’s real power is composing several into one signal — e.g. CVD aggression into a heavy opposite book (absorption), or OFI pushing to a fresh extreme with imbalance agreeing — then ranking 300+ markets by that composite live. You define the formula; the whole board re-ranks around it.

FAQ

What are order-flow indicators?

Metrics that read the live mechanics of a market — the resting order book and the executed trades hitting it — instead of lagging price averages. The core set is order-book imbalance, OFI, CVD, sweeps, large prints, microprice, and price impact (Kyle’s lambda).

What are the best order-flow indicators?

There’s no single best one — they’re strongest in combination. Order-book imbalance and microprice read displayed liquidity; CVD, sweeps, and prints read executed flow; OFI and Kyle’s lambda read the flow of changes and price impact. vyx lets you compose them into one score.

Do order-flow indicators work for crypto?

Yes — crypto perps have a rich order book and trade tape, which is exactly what order-flow indicators read. vyx computes them live across 300+ Hyperliquid markets. They’re context that narrows where to look, not standalone buy/sell signals.
